What makes the air-lux glass façade system truly unique is the patented sealing concept. Whether for frameless sliding windows, pivot doors or descending windows: The air-assisted continuous inflatable gasket guarantees 100% impermeability – against driving rain, wind and noise, for example. In contrast to systems with sealing lips or brushes, this invisible, nearly maintenance-free air-lux sealing system offers consistent performance without signs of wear.

Due to its membrane-like design, the gasket accommodates natural movement caused by wind and the sliding sash always remains 100% sealed.

Operating properties

When the gasket ist inflated, the seal is rolled up and the sliding sash can be moved with minimal effort and without friction resistance.

Structural sagging

Slight deflection and movement can occur in any structure. As a general rule, the higher the building, the more significant the structural movement. The patented air-lux sealing system remains 100% sealed with lintel deflection of up to 40 mm and base deflection of up to 20 mm.

Unique sealing system – how air-lux works

Sliding windows

With the gasket deflated, it retracts to its original profile and the sliding sash can be moved with minimal effort and without friction.

By pressing the button, air is introduced into the frame, which inflates the gasket. The gasket presses against the sliding profile and closes the gap between the sliding sash and the fixed frame to create a perfect seal. The button is pressed again to open the unit: the gasket deflates and retracts to its original profile. In contrast to systems with brush seals, air-lux does not compromise between tightness and operating properties.

Pivot doors

Two continuous inflatable gaskets ensure that they are completely impermeable.

These are fully integrated into the aluminium profiles – without weak points in the corners and without the friction resistance that occurs in systems with conventional brush seals. By pressing the button, air is introduced into the frame and the gasket is inflated. The gasket presses against the profile and closes the gap between the pivoting and the fixed frame to create a perfect seal. The button is pressed again to open the unit: the gasket deflates and retracts to its original profile.

Descending window

To close the window, press the button to inflate the gasket.

The gap between the descending window and the fixed frame is sealed absolutely tightly. To reopen the window, the button is pressed again. The gasket deflates and retracts to its original profile.
